The Bellota Iberian Ham company Castro y González is a hundred years old, dating back to 1910. It is a 100% family business run by the fourth generation of the family.

Castro y González was born at the beginning of the 20th century, by the great-grandfather of the current generation, when their activity was reduced to the slaughter of two pigs per week to sell them very locally.

From that date on, the objective was to offer a very high quality product thanks to the breeding of purely Iberian animals, in the wild, fed on acorns and grass.

The company's evolution grew in the 1940s thanks to the company's founder: grandfather Aurelio Castro Benito, with an increase in national distribution through wholesalers.

The Castro and González family are committed to what is today their great motto: the control of the herd through a farm of their own Iberian mothers who guarantee quality and regularity in all the Iberian products processed.
